26-year old dies in collision with semi on Glenn Highway, near Palmer

Jan. 14—A 26-year-old Anchorage man died late Thursday when his Subaru collided head-on with a semitrailer on the Glenn Highway near Palmer, Alaska State Troopers said.

Witnesses claimed that the southbound Subaru lost control near Mile 38, and crossed the centerline. Troopers reported that it collided with the northbound truck at 9:20 pm.

According to troopers, Sean Doyle, the Subaru driver, died on the spot. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, troopers said. Impairment was not suspected.

The Glenn Highway was temporarily closed for three hours following the crash.
