Watching the Mets and Giants in San Francisco for a four-game series is a great way to learn about both teams.

Watch out for these five things when you’re watching the Mets Giants and Giants will play a series of four games in San Francisco beginning on Thursday.

Senga was spectacular in his first two starts against the Miami Marlins. In each of those outings, he allowed only one run and allowed six hits totaling 11.1 innings.

The most recent start of his career was different.

The Athletics Challenge OaklandSenga started off strong, but his stuff could still be devastating, as he struck out 7 times. Senga lasted only 4.2 inning, while allowing 4 runs on 7 hits (including 2 home runs) and he also walked four.

Senga’s struggles may have been due in part to the time he spent between innings of a game when the Mets scored 17 runs and drew a total of 17 walks. Senga warmed up in the Mets’ bullpen at one point.

Baty started in two of his three games since being promoted from Triple-A Syracuse. His only time off the field was against left-handed pitcher Clayton Kershaw.

The Mets could have held Baty back because the legendary left-handed pitcher was also on the pitch. That’s okay. He should not sit regularly against southpaws.

Baty had a great record against lefties, hitting.486 in 2022 and.442 in 2021.

The story might have been different if the Mets had an option to hit lefties with a right-handed bat. Their current right-handed option at third base is a switch-hitter Eduardo Escobar, who has been slashing just.120/.167/.220 over 55 plate appearances in this season.

Old Friends

Michael Conforto Has been dealing with an injury to his calf, but returned on Tuesday. It’s possible he could play against the Mets. That would be his very first game since 2021, when he was injured and had to leave the team.

Conforto’s not the only familiar face in the Giants’ lineup.

Included in this is Darin Ruf The following are some examples of how to get started: J.D. Davis Who was traded to San Francisco Along with three players who played last season for Ruf). This includes Wilmer Flores. Davis is having a great season. He entered play on Wednesday with four home runs and a 1.022 ops.

Ruf, who was released by the Mets before joining the Giants has four hits and a slash of.267/.389/.400 in his 15 at-bats.

How will the Mets rotation be put together?

The following are some alternatives to the word “Advantage” Carlos Carrasco The Mets must find a replacement for him on Friday due to his elbow inflammation.

The most obvious choices are Joey Lucchesi The following are some examples of how to get started: Jose Butto, both of whom are Syracuse.

Lucchesi missed the Mets’ entire 2022 season because of Tommy John surgery. He had a 4.46 ERA in 11 games (8 starts, 3 relief appearances).

If Senga pitches Thursday, and the Mets are unable to find a replacement for Friday, they can fill in with someone else. David Peterson The following are some examples of how to get started: Tylor Megill The final two games in the series will be started by the player who is currently the starter.

Will Logan WebbThe struggle continues?

Webb did not pitch well in his four first starts. He allowed four runs per outing, though he only had to pay for one run earned during his April 10th start against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Webb is still trying to find his way, but he has managed five home runs.

Webb’s peripherals are very good. He has 28 strikeouts and only three walks (including 12 in 6 innings of his first start).
