UPDATE: 3/22/2023 UPDATE. The Orange County District attorney’s office has dropped the charges against Justin Roiland because it did not have sufficient evidence to prove that the case was true beyond a reasonable doubt,” Kimberly Edds, spokeswoman, said in a statement. Roiland commented on social media: “I have always known that these claims were false — and I never had any doubt that this day would come. Although I’m happy that the case has been dismissed, I still feel shaken by the horrific lies that were told about me during the process. I was disappointed that so many people were quick to judge me without knowing all the facts. It was only an ex who tried to get around due process and had me ‘canceled’. It is shameful that it might have succeeded, even partially. However, now that the legal case has ended, I’m determined to move forward and focus both on my creative projects and restoring my good name.” Hulu, Adult Swim and Adult Swim both declined to comment.
