Air-fryer fish in foil recipe

A simple cooking method that delivers great results. The combination of soy sauce, garlic, ginger and chilli transforms the fish.

Timings

Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes

Serves

2

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp avocado oil or olive oil, plus extra for greasing

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari)

  • 1½ tsp freshly grated garlic

  • 1½ tsp freshly grated ginger

  • 1 small red chilli, finely chopped

  • 2 skinless, boneless white fish fillets (about 350g total weight)

Method

  1. Mix the oil, soy sauce, garlic, ginger and chilli together. Brush a little oil on to two pieces of foil, then lay the fish in the centre of each piece. Divide the topping mixture between the fish, placing it on top.

  2. Wrap the foil around the fish to make two parcels, with a gap above the fish but shallow enough to fit in your air fryer basket.

  3. Preheat the air fryer to 180C.

  4. Add the foil parcels to the preheated air fryer and air fry for 7-10 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fillets. The fish should just flake when a fork is inserted. Serve immediately.
