Alabama lands Georgia LB transfer Trezmen Marshall

Alabama’s football program received a huge boost on Thursday night when they landed a commitment from Georgia Transfer Trezmen Marshall. Marshall spent the last three seasons in Athens.

Marshall, a former Bulldog, was recruited by Alabama’s coaching staff out of high school. However, he ultimately decided to go to Georgia. Marshall was a Kirby Smart player and he accumulated 30 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 interception.

The Georgia native will now be trying to make an immediate impact on an Alabama defense that saw many players declare for the NFL Draft. One of those is Henry To’oTo’o which could be one of the largest losses this offseason. Also, Alabama linebacker Demouy Kennedy just entered the transfer portal.

Marshall is expected to compete with rising junior Deontae lawson for the inside linebacker position. Marshall’s knowledge and experience as a player in elite programs like Georgia will greatly increase his chances of playing meaningfully in Tuscaloosa next year. This is great news!
