Ardagh Glass Packaging awarded ENERGY STAR® plant certification

INDIANAPOLIS, Jan. 19, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Ardagh Glass Packaging – North America (AGP – NA)A business of Ardagh Group, was given an ENERGY STAR® It has obtained plant certification for its glassmaking unit Madera, Calif., taken directly from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Ardagh’s Madera, Calif.The facility has superior energy performance and ranks within the top 25 per cent of similar facilities across the country for energy efficiency. It also meets strict energy efficiency standards set by the EPA. The Madera Each day, approximately one million glass containers are produced by the facility for the U.S. market.

Since 2010, Ardagh has received 51 ENERGY STAR building and plant certifications. AGP – NA remains the only U.S., glass container manufacturer to earn this recognition for multiple facilities over multiple years.

Ardagh’s Madera Facility has increased its energy efficiency by optimizing furnaces, using recycled glass, and installing energy-efficient lighting fixtures among other energy-saving measures.
