Argentine corn farm gets its Messi ‘tattoo.

Fans were eager to get tattoos of Lionel Messi, the star of South American football, after Argentina’s win in 2022 World Cup.

A corn farm in Argentina has created a “tattoo” for Messi using advanced agricultural technology. It also shared the software with others so that it could be replicated.

Charly Faricelli, a farmer in rural Ballesteros (about 500 km (300 miles) north of Buenos Aires tells AFP that he had planned to incorporate Messi’s face into the cornfield regardless of Argentina’s win in Qatar.

“The idea was a tribute by the agricultural world to Messi — and I’m glad he won it! He stated.

The Messi face, which is nearly as big as four football fields, can only been seen from the sky. As the corn grows, it becomes more obvious.

Faricelli said, “It’s an agriculture ‘tattoo.

This “tattoo”, unlike other crop designs where plants are cut down to make an image, is the result of different concentrations planted seed.

Faricelli says that technology has allowed the tractor to know exactly how many seeds are needed in each place.

He invited other farmers to share his homage on social media.

Faricelli states that Messi has 25 faces in five provinces.

He said, “We identify with Argentina’s national team because it suffered before winning and the agricultural world too is suffering.” He was referring to the severe drought that has affected Argentina’s central Pampas Plains.
