Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov According to Rangers, this is a name that they have inquired about. Arthur Staple of The Athletic.

Staple states that Gavrikov was reportedly priced at a first-rounder as well as a midround pick.

Gavrikov could be rented, however, since he is in the last year of his $8.4 million, three-year deal with Columbus.

The 27-year old has scored 10 goals and received 10 points in 43 games.

Forward San Jose Sharks Timo Meier Frank Seravalli reports that Rangers trade target has “risen up to the top of the listing”, according to Daily Faceoff.

Seravalli mentions that Meier has a $10,000,000 qualifying offer due to him at end of season. He will then become an unrestricted, free agent.

Meier, 26, has a salary of $10 million ($6 million cap).

Meier has scored 25 goals and assisted 20 times in 45 games this season.

Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane The Rangers consider him a “perfect fit”, ahead of the deadline. writes Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic.

“It’s felt like a match since Kane hit the trade rumor mill: the bright lights of Broadway being the perfect stage for the veteran offensive magic man — not to mention a reunion with old pal Artemi Panarin,” LeBrun writes.

LeBrun proposes that the Rangers trade Kane one their first-round picks for the 2023 NHL Draft.

Kane, who is 34 years old, has a no-move clause that covers all aspects of his contract and will be unrestricted, free agent following the season. Kane is currently in the last year of an $84 million, eight-year deal that he signed prior to the 2015-16 season. He had a $10.5million cap hit going into this season.

Kane’s Blackhawks performance this season has been impressive with eight goals and 20 assists. The Blackhawks are the worst team in the NHL with 26 points.

Kane had 26 goals, 66 assists and 78 games during the 2021-22 seasons.
