Background
CanWCC is a Canadian advocacy group that works with policymakers to improve the quality and inclusion of the 1.2 million women entrepreneurs in Canada. We want to make their voices heard and fight for economic equality.

CanWCC was established in 2015. Nancy Wilson The relative security of corporate employment was abandoned in favor of the possibility and rewards of entrepreneurship. She soon discovered that being a woman entrepreneur was the best thing for her. Canada There were many obstacles and challenges that faced her, and she couldn’t help but notice the differences in entrepreneurial men. Nancy was also seeking community, resources and a way for women and their entrepreneurs to be supported. Although there are many organizations that support women in traditional business roles and provide networking opportunities, they do not offer advocacy or resources for women entrepreneurs. She decided to change that and created the Canadian Women’s Chamber of Commerce in 2018.

Canadian Women’s Chamber of Commerce, a not-for profit, national corporation, is dedicated to advocacy, advancement and connection for its members. CanWCC is comprised of women-identified entrepreneurs, and organizations that are at minimum 50% woman(en),-owned and lead.
