CBS Sports grades Notre Dame’s Marcus Freeman after his first season

We all know how to do it. Notre Dame The first season was completed with Marcus Freeman As the head coach, with an amazing 45-38 TaxSlayer Gator Bowl Win over South Carolina. Freeman’s victory was 9-4. This was his first full season.

CBS Sports was impressed. Shehan Jeyarajah, who graded out Each year, coaches perform. Jeyarajah noted that Freeman “got off to an inauspicious start” as we all know, but after “winning six of the last seven games” he turned things around. This was enough to allow Freeman to receive a B-grade, which I think is fair.

There were clearly games that the Irish should have won. Marshall And Stanford, but the team didn’t throw the towel in and kept battling throughout the year.  It is likely that the grade received a boost after the season ended on a high note. What letter grade did Freeman earn in his first year?
