City Council is seeking applicants for the Public Safety & Vital Services Measure Oversight Committee

Jan. 14—The city of Bakersfield is recruiting applicants for the Public Safety & Vital Services Measure Oversight Committee.

The term of Ken Keller, Ward 3, has expired. There is an opportunity.

The measure requires that Measure N tax revenues be remitted to the committee for review.

City residents and applicants must be at minimum 18 years old. According to a city press release, the City Council could consider applicants’ education and professional backgrounds and affiliation with or nomination of groups or organizations such as Greater Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce or Kern County Taxpayers Association, Bakersfield Association of Realtors, Kern Citizens for Sustainable Government and Bakersfield Association of Realtors.

Applications can be picked up at the City Clerk’s Office in City Hall at 1600 Truxtun Ave. or at the city’s Website.
