Cowboys score with Prescott-Schultz hookup
The Cowboys and Buccaneers offenses started the game ice cold, with four three-and-out’s back-to-back from kickoff. Kellen Moore, offensive coordinator of the Dallas defense found some rhythm for his players with a 15 yard sideline gain from wide receiver Michael Gallup.
Dallas moved within striking distance of the Cowboys after they broke the ice with a roughing-the-passer and a 17 yard run by Tony Pollard. Two plays later quarterback Dak Prescott gave a strike through the middle to Dalton Schultz, allowing Tampa Bay to take its first lead.
The Cowboys’ defense is hot and Dan Quinn can keep the pressure on Tom Brady. On the ensuing extra point, kicker Brett Maher hit it ugly and it sailed wide right so it’s 6-0 Dallas with six minutes left in the first quarter.
