Jayron Kearse of the Cowboys sustains a severe knee injury during the 3rd Quarter

The Cowboys defense has dealt with a slew of key injuries in 2022 but their playoff unit is the closest they’ve been to 100% in recent weeks. Jayron KEARSE, safety, was battling a variety of injuries during the season. However, he remained relatively healthy for 18 consecutive weeks.

After a late third quarter stop in Tampa Bay, Kearse was gimpy and waited in his endzone for trainers. After the accident, he was grasping at his knees and needed assistance to get to the sidelines.

Kearse could not put weight on his right leg, so Dallas would lose out on the chance to advance to the divisional round. Donovan Wilson and Malik Hooker, along with Israel Mukuamu, will take his place.
