Damar Hamlin ‘supporting from home’ as Bills take on Dolphins in Wild Card matchup

The Buffalo Bills will continue their emotional season on Sunday with an AFC Wild Card matchup at Highmark Stadium against the Miami Dolphins. Damar Hamlin, who was released from the hospital days earlier, watches from home as the match is played.

“My heart is with my guys as they compete today!” Hamlin wrote on Twitter. “Supporting from home as I focus on my recovery. Nothing is more important to me than being out there with them. LFG”

The Bills will host the Dolphins, a shorthanded Dolphins team. Tua Tagovailoa has been out of action since Dec. 26, and is currently in concussion protocol. Teddy Bridgewater was named in his place.

Nearly two weeks have passed since Hamlin’s cardiac arrest in a Monday Night Football match against the Cincinnati Bengals on January 2. Hamlin was discharged in Buffalo from an area hospital and continued his rehabilitation at home less than ten days after the horrible incident.

According to ESPN, the playoff game will be played a day after Hamlin visited his teammates at the facility. Bills linebacker Matt Milano posted a photo of Hamlin on his Instagram story taken at the team’s facility.

“I saw Damar today & bawled my eyes out! What a miracle to see him walking,” Brooke Kromer, daughter of Bills offensive line coach Aaron Kromer tweeted Saturday.

Brooke Kromer tweeted that Hamlin was at Bills practice Saturday.
