Dolly Parton’s Mama Made Her Kids This Classic Birthday Cake

The singer-songwriter shares the special treat she had as a child on her 77th Birthday.

Birthdays are a special occasion the best cakes Dolly Parton, as they deserve it, is the greatest and most delicious cake in existence. The singer-songwriter philanthropist She turned 77 today. While she’s busy recording her rock and roll album, we hope that she has some time to enjoy a slice of cake.

She made sure that her siblings and her mom got a special treat on her birthdays, just like she did as an infant. chocolate cake.

“Mama always made a chocolaty cake. Parton said that we loved it. Southern Living Interview. “We come from a big family in the backwoods. We didn’t have sugar or all that junk. The birthdays were the only time we received these special treats. Mama made big, rich chocolate cakes which were always delicious.”

Parton, who grew-up in east Tennessee, also reflected on the contributions her siblings and she would make to the baked goods made by their mother.

“We have always had walnut trees. So we often added walnuts in everything we baked, such as Mama’s chocolate cake,” she explained. “We would all have to go out and collect them, remove the stains, and get rid of the shells.

She said, “We loved when the walnuts fell in the road and cars would pass and crack the shells.” We would run to pick them up.”

Parton has recently added four new baking mixes Duncan Hines’ collection of Southern-inspired desserts. Parton has two brownies in her new mixes. Parton said that these are the kinds of desserts she enjoys baking when she has some time to herself.

“I love chocolate. She said that I don’t have a sweet tooth as I didn’t grow up eating a lot of sugary foods. “But, when I do have sweet tooth, I like chocolate so I eat brownies and chocolate cake. When I have more beautiful things, I will make banana pudding or coconut cake. Who doesn’t love chocolate?
