Eagles DE Josh Sweat is in a hospital after sustaining a neck injury in a head-on collision with the Saints
After a collision against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, Josh Sweat, Philadelphia Eagles defensive end, was taken to hospital with a neck injury.
Sweat didve to tackle Saints fullback Adam Prentice in the first quarter. Sweat struck Prentice’s head with the crown of his helmet. He fell facefirst on the ground, and remained there as medical personnel cared for him.
Sweat was then stabilized by trainers and placed on a stretcher. The Eagles teammates then placed Sweat on a cart while they sat on the ground. As Sweat received medical attention, he was able move his arms and legs. As he left the Field, fans chanted his name.
The Eagles reported that Sweat was admitted to the hospital due to a neck injury. They confirmed that Sweat was able to move in all of his extremities.
