EU antitrust regulators pause Broadcom, VMware probe, await information

BRUSSELS (Reuters) – EU antitrust regulators have paused their investigation into Broadcom’s $61 billion bid for cloud computing firm VMware whereas ready for the U.S. chipmaker to offer requested information, the European Fee stated on Friday.

The European Union competitors watchdog stated it stopped the clock on its investigation on Jan. 31, efficient Jan. 24.

“This process in merger investigations is activated if the events fail to offer, in a well timed style, an vital piece of knowledge that the Fee has requested from them,” a Fee spokesperson stated.
