EU president says Ukraine has unconditional assist forward of summit

FRANKFURT (Reuters) – European Fee President Ursula von der Leyen mentioned forward of an EU-Ukraine summit subsequent week that Ukraine had unconditional assist from the bloc and that the nation wanted to prevail towards Russian assaults to defend European values.

“We stand by Ukraine’s facet with none ifs and buts,” von der Leyen mentioned in a speech on Saturday at an occasion of her social gathering, the Christian Democrat CDU, in Duesseldorf, Germany.

Ukraine “is preventing for our shared values, it’s preventing for the respect of worldwide legislation and for the rules of democracy and that’s the reason Ukraine has to win this battle”, she mentioned.
