Falcons ask for interview with Panthers DC Al Holcomb

The Atlanta Falcons have requested an interview with Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Al Holcomb, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Sunday afternoon. Holcomb was appointed interim defensive coordinator following the firing of Matt Rhule, Panthers head coach back in October.

The 52-year-old Holcomb has previously coached for New York Giants, Arizona Cardinals and Cleveland Browns. Holcomb began his coaching journey as a graduate assistant at Temple in 1995.

Interviews have been requested by the Falcons throughout the weekend. Steelers defensive assistant Brian FloresPackers Passing game coordinator Jerry Gray Saints and Saints are co-defensive coordinator Ryan Nielsen are just a  few of the coaches Atlanta has requested interviews with.
