Happy Valley fans demand Sarah Lancashire win ‘all awards’ for the new episode
Happy Valley Viewers have been calling for Sarah Lancashire To win all the awards for her star role as Catherine Cawood in the gritty drama.
BBC One will air the eagerly awaited third season of Sally Wainwright’s dramatic drama about a police fight against Yorkshire’s drug problem. It is currently being aired on BBC One. The series’ fans feel that it hasn’t lost its brilliance in the eight years since it was last air.

Lancashire portrays a police officer who tries to avenge her daughter’s death. She was raped by Tommy Lee Royce (James Norton).
Catherine (Siobhan Fineran) and Clare (Siobhan Connah) are now raising their grandson Ryan (Rhys Connah). Ryan has been in contact with his father since season three.
Admirers of Lancashire’s performance included TV presenter Anita Rani, who tweeted: “I’m already sad it’s going to be over. It is deserving of every award. There is no stronger female character than Catherine Cawood. @SarahLancsUK You are extraordinary.”

George Rainsford, Casualty and Call The Midwife star, added: “Just Give!” #SarahLancashire & #SiobhanFinneran All the awards. That café scene was an acting masterclass.”
One fan posted a scene with Lancashire crying, as Catherine, and wrote: This tear needs its own BAFTA.
Wainwright, the series creator, and Lancashire star Finneran also received praise.
One viewer tweeted, “That was PHENOMENAL. Pure talent for 15 minutes. There was not a single voice. Sarah and Siobhan gave their all and Sally provided them with the best material.
Someone else agreed: “So good! Two of the best actors we’ve ever had.”
Another fan wrote, “The way Sarah Lancashire is able to switch between comedy and tragedy in half an hour is truly amazing.” And it’s surely the result of an astonishing talent honed on Coronation Street.”
Someone else added: “I’m in constant awe of the way Sarah Lancashire delivers dialogue. It’s possible to see actors in action. Hers is different. “Entirely believable, always.”
The entire season three has been a great success. Viewers feel that it was worth the wait.
