Instagram’s new feature allows users who have been hacked to regain their account access

More safety and security tools are being introduced. These include A central place where account access problems can be reported and resolved. For hackers who have lost their accounts, this could prove to be a huge help.

If you can’t log in, you can . Instagram will ask if the issue concerns a hacker account, forgotten password or impersonation, loss two-factor authentication method, disabled account, or both. You can then follow a series to access your account again once you’ve selected the issue.

Asking others to confirm your identity is one way to verify that an account is yours. Two Instagram friends can verify your identity if an account is locked. This feature was first tested by Instagram earlier in the year. It is now available to all. Your friends have 24 hours to reply to the request. Instagram will allow you to reset your password if they respond.

Instagram claims it is taking additional measures to stop account hacking. It will remove accounts it deems malicious, including those impersonating other users. The new test will send you a warning if we suspect that an account may be impersonating another person. Instagram will begin sending warnings to anyone who receives a DM from accounts that could be impersonating businesses in the coming months.

In addition to all this, you will see the blue badge indicating verified accounts in more places. You’ll see the badge in Stories and DMs, along with your profile. The badge will soon appear in the feed. Instagram claims that this badge will let users know if the account they are interacting with is genuine.
