Jeremy Renner is in “critical but stable condition” from injuries sustained in a snow plow accident in Reno, Nevada on Sunday.

“We can confirm that Jeremy has suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries and has undergone surgery today, January 2nd 2023,” the actor’s family said in a statement. “He has returned from surgery and remains in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition.”

TMZ According to reports, Renner used a Snow Cat machine to clear snow from his home near Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe. (The region saw upwards of 18 inches of snow on New Year’s Eve.) His leg was crushed by the machine, which caused a large loss of blood. A neighbor who is a doctor was able to place a tourniquet around his leg until paramedics arrived. The man was airlifted to the local hospital.

In a statement, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office said they responded to a “traumatic injury” in the area of Mt. Rose Highway in Reno at about 9:00 a.m. on January 1, 2023. “Upon arrival, Deputies coordinated with Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and REMSA Health to arrange for medical transport of Mr. Jeremy Renner via care flight to a local area hospital. Mr. Renner was the only involved party in the incident.”

Renner is currently in the role of Renner, who was a two-time Academy Award nominee. The Mayor of Kingstown Paramount+ and Hawkeye Disney+
