Jones and Brink are the No. 2 Stanford women pass No. 8 UCLA

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Haley Jones scored 16 points, Cameron Brink added 12 and second-ranked Stanford scored the first 15 points of the fourth quarter to pull away for a 72-59 victory over No. Friday night, 8 UCLA.

Jones had 12 rebounds, six assists and helped the Cardinal (17-1 Pac-12), extend their winning streak to 38 games. Brink had 11 rebounds.

Charisma Obsborne and Gina Conti each scored 13 points, while Emily Bessoir scored 10 for UCLA (14-3 & 3-2).

Brink replaced Stanford at the start of the fourth quarter, leading Stanford by 51 to 49. The Cardinal took a 66-49 lead after Brink replaced Stanford’s junior point guard. He scored six points, grabbed eight rebound and blocked six shots during the quarter.

UCLA missed 12 shots, and made four turnovers before Conti scored a 3-pointer at 1:53 for the Bruins’ first points.

BLOCKPARTY

Brink finished the game with seven blocked shots. He was second in the country in blocked shots. This was Brink’s fifth season in which he had at least five blocked shots.

Stanford: Stanford’s last 19 conference rivals were under 69.

UCLA: UCLA made their first two 3-pointers. They were only 7 of 25 in the second half.
