Kyle Kuzma’s game-winner wins Bulls defeat to Wizards

The Chicago Bulls They lost their second consecutive game, falling in the final seconds against the Washington Wizards 100-97.

Washington led by 6.0 seconds and won with the winning 3-pointer from Kyle Kuzma. To seal their fate, however, the Bulls were unable to score a shot in their final possession.

Chicago held a 13-point lead at halftime. However, the Wizards had a 20-point advantage in the third quarter which gave them an edge going into the fourth quarter.

Without DeMar DeRozanThe Bulls were commanded by Zach LaVineHe scored 38 points, five rebounds and two assists. Two steals were made on 15-of28 shots from the floor and 4 of 11 from downtown.

Zach LaVine: A

LaVine has been on a tear lately, looking like his All-Star self again, scoring 38 points on 15-of-28 shooting in Wednesday night’s loss. To keep the Bulls in business, LaVine must continue his play if DeMar DeRozan is absent for a significant amount of games.

Nikola Vucevic:

In Wednesday’s loss, Nikola Vucevic finished with 15 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and two blocks on 7-of-14 shooting. Vooch must play like an All-Star if the Bulls are to remain in play-in contention, even though DeRozan could be out for a while.

Ayo Dosunmu: C+

Ayo Dosunmu finished with eight points, four rebounds, and three assists in 29 minutes on 4-of-6 shooting from the field in Wednesday’s 100-97 loss to the Wizards.

Patrick Williams: C+

In Wednesday’s crunch time loss, Patrick Williams finished with six points, six rebounds, and one block on 3-of-8 shooting from the field against the Wizards.

Alex Caruso: B –

Alex Caruso was the first to start, DeRozan being out. He finished with six points and four rebounds, two assists as well as one steal, one steal, one assist, and one block. Caruso was aggressive in the offensive end which is a first, but struggled from behind the arc, shooting only 3-of-11.

Coby white:

Coby White had 13 points, four rebounds and one assist. Coby also took two steals from 5-of-11 shots and 3-of-5 3-point shooting in 29 minutes. White’s scoring punch of the bench will be important if DeRozan misses several games.
