Kyrie Irving scores a deceptive loss of 117-112 to the Suns with 30

The Brooklyn Nets To face the Footprint Center, I entered the Footprint Center on Thursday Phoenix Suns The first of two matchups in this season’s regular-season series was lost by Phoenix 117-112. Phoenix leads the regular-season series by 1-0.

The Nets Kyrie Irving Nic Claxton scored 20 points and had seven assists, while he had 30 and 7 points. Joe Harris And Seth Curry Each received 16 points.

For the Suns Mikal Bridges DeandreAyton had 24 points, nine assists and 28 points. DeandreAyton had 24 and 14 rebounds. Cameron Johnson After missing two months due to a knee injury, he scored 19 points on the bench. Damion Lee 16 points.

The game was close during the first quarter, as neither team played very well on defense. However, the game became a complete blowout in the second and third quarters. Brooklyn was outrebounded by Phoenix 49-34. The Suns dominated the glass. Ben Simmons After being called out on an illegal screen, was thrown out in the third quarter and was later tossed by the ref.

In the fourth quarter, things turned around as Irving scored 21 points during the period to bring Brooklyn within a single digit. The Suns scored free-throws to win the game.

These are the Nets player grades

Ben Simmons: D

Simmons was quite aggressive when he shot the ball, but by the end of the third quarter, he had only shot the ball four times. Simmons struggled to find a rhythm in all areas except passing the ball. This was something he did well. In the third quarter, Simmons was dismissed after drawing his fifth foul. Additionally, he received two technical fouls. Simmons was a great player.

Kyrie Irving – D+

Irving was terrible offensively up until the fourth quarter. Irving could not buy a basket all game and was not confident at any time. In fact, it looked like he didn’t want to be there after awhile. Irving was terrible for the Nets, although he did a good job rebounding and passing the ball well. Irving did not arrive to play until the game was over, regardless of what he did during the fourth quarter.

Joe Harris:

Harris shot the ball well all night. Harris was an amazing player for a guy who was in a shooting slump. Harris did a great job rebounding and passing the ball well as the Suns closed in on him too hard or not enough. He was able to get past his defender and make it happen.

Royce O’Neale:

O’Neale had a rough night shooting the ball. O’Neale was able find his teammates to give him good looks at the basket and did a decent job rebounding. As has been the case all season, O’Neale gets beat off the dribble a good amount and it hurts Brooklyn’s defense.

Nic Claxton:

Claxton did an excellent job scoring the ball. Although Claxton had a slow start due to foul trouble, he was able to stay on the floor for long enough to enjoy the Suns playing off of him. Claxton even scored some post touches, which is always a plus. Claxton did a fantastic job of rebounding and was also great in protecting the rim.

TJ Warren: D-

Warren struggled all night to get the ball in his hands and could not seem to find his rhythm. Warren was in foul trouble and he didn’t come back to the game after that.

Seth Curry, B+

Curry was excellent scoring the ball from the bench all night. He was lights out from three and he was also able to work his mid-range game as he tends to do when he’s overplayed at the three-point line. He was solid in every aspect of the game and his defense held up for the majority of the night.

Yuta Watanabe: C-

Watanabe did a good job of helping the team rebound, but other than that, he didn’t do much else. Although he had a good game on defense, there were parts where he didn’t make an impact. He had a difficult time keeping up with Saben Lee and Mikal bridges.

Cam Thomas: B+

Thomas scored the ball off the bench in the second consecutive game. This game was not his best because he had trouble with his shot selection. He was very good at scoring and making free throws.
