Lamar Jackson is getting unfair pushback from everyone, but he’s not doing himself any favors by one simple move

Lamar Jackson was criticized by the NFL cognoscenti since Day 1. He still has critics despite his success. Jackson seems to have met the same fate as Cam Newton, who was never going be able to please everyone for many reasons.

He has done things his unique way throughout his pro career. It has worked wonderfully in the first few years. He doesn’t like doing things the same way as they were always done.

Jackson last week offered his first update On the condition of his injured left leg, which kept him out of action for the final week of the Ravens season, including the playoffs. team’s AFC wild-card round loss to Cincinnati on Sunday night.

Jackson claimed that he had suffered a Grade 2-PCL sprain. [Grade] He was experiencing swelling and instability and was now at Grade 3″. The PCL is one the main stabilisers of the knee joint; a Grade 2 strain is a partial tear and a Grade 3 tear is a complete rupture.

Lamar can’t be Lamar on the field if he doesn’t have two good knees.

Aside from the field, he does not have a contract for 2023 and beyond. This has been the topic of much media attention this season.

Fans are fans. It is only natural that Twitter searches for “Fans” will be performed. “Lamar quit” You will find plenty of messages from people who believe Jackson should risk his financial future, health, and well-being. There is no guarantee that Jackson will get the money if something goes wrong. Jackson was not the only one being criticized. You can read the entire article at Fox Sports’ pregame showSean Payton, who was uncomfortablely disparaging Jackson, told the quarterback that “the team is more important than you.”

Michael Vick recited Payton, then said, “Put a brace on, get it moving.” Let’s get started!

Although outsiders will always hold their opinions, many refuse to accept professional athletes as human beings simply because they earn large paychecks. However, this decision was made inside the house.

This is some hard work.

We’d like to remind everyone that Payton was once suspended for a whole season for not paying attention to the bounty program that one of his New Orleans assistants ran.which former NFL player Junior Galette sharply pointed out) Vick’s rash decisions were the reason Vick’s meteoric rise was thwarted. That would be trivial, right?

Whoops.

Payton, who quit coaching last year after he said it was too difficult for him to continue. wasn’t where his heart wasHe seems to be following the same path Jon Gruden used to, laughing that he will leave his broadcasting job to become a franchise savior. But only if the situation and price are right. Jackson, however, refused to acknowledge the possibility that Jackson was doing the exact same thing. He is looking out for both his future earning potential and his health and well-being. Jackson wants to be compensated and, we presume, will be able to walk independently in 40 years. Payton wants to be feted. Also, paid.

Let’s suppose Jackson had played against Bengals. As Vick so blithely stated, put on a brace and began the game. Dr. Jess FlynnFlynn, a Boston-based specialist in sports medicine, said Jackson could tear his meniscus or the cartilage in his knee. These tears often require surgery and can cause permanent damage to your cartilage.

Let’s assume the worst. Payton and Vick would likely have been the first to criticize his performance if he had played poorly and sucked it up. They would have offered to compensate Jackson for the money he would lose. They didn’t.

Robert Griffin III, a talented quarterback, would have been Robert Griffin III again. He was trying to fix the immediate needs of the team and his career. Griffin posted as much On Twitter, Jackson was defended. Playing hurt for his “brothers/team…changed the trajectory of my career,” Griffin tweeted.

Jim Trotter, an inimitable reporter, stated it on NFL Network recently Trotter was approached by a player of a different team after a December match. He mentioned Jackson’s injury and that he had sustained a PCL sprain in Week 1. However, Trotter wasn’t 100 percent.

Lamar Jackson does not use an agent. It’s hurting him.

Jackson doesn’t have a representative, making it even more difficult. Jackson is really, Really You should have one. Jackson is perfectly fine representing himself or working with a family member, as rookie contracts are standard. Jackson should have hired one sooner than he did.

An agent will tell the player’s side through media. So when Jackson was injured in December, Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh stated to reporters that it was “week-to-week.” This set the expectation that it would be a game-to–game situation. Harbaugh’s agent would have supported Harbaugh and claimed it was at most a four week turnaround, which is similar to the average recovery for a PCL Injury like Jackson’s.

An agent would have dealt on the client’s behalf with the team and pushed back against his client so he wasn’t rushed back. This move is usually more beneficial for the team than the player.

The agent can also present the arguments to the negotiation table so that the player doesn’t have them. Any lingering negative feelings between the agent or the organization are mainly between the agent, the player, and the organization.

Jackson and the Ravens have made a mess of all of thisIt feels worse. Jackson doesn’t have an agent. Jackson is also too online. Every message from a troll gets analyzed by amateur sleuths.

Also many of Harbaugh’s public comments don’t come across like someone who’s looking forward to welcoming back a franchise quarterback who turned 26 earlier this month and already has an MVP on his résumé, as if that type of player can be easily replicated, no worries. Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti isn’t looking for five-year, fully guaranteed contracts like the one Cleveland has with Deshaun. to become the standard.

Because everyone has an opinion, there are too many people supporting the NFL’s outdated status quo. Get up and get going today. It doesn’t matter what you think, just get out there and support the team.

This overlooks the fact that the team is a company and will cut players if it feels it’s best for the business and its bottom lines, regardless of how many injuries he sustained.

Lamar is also a businessman. He is aware of it and responds accordingly.

As he continues to heal his knee, his next move should be to hire someone to do the hard work.
