Lincoln Tech and Johnson Controls launch new career paths program to close the skills gap

Johnson ControlsJohnson Controls Academy is a six-week intensive training program that aims to develop the next generation of building technicians. Johnson Controls, the global leader in smart, healthy, and sustainable buildings, has announced the launch. The program is based in Lincoln Tech Columbia, Maryland campus was established to facilitate employment opportunities at Johnson Controls locations all over the country. The United States. Johnson Controls provides housing and relocation assistance for students. The company plans to hire approximately 130 technicians each year.

This program welcomes applicants of all backgrounds, from veterans of war to adults learning — it has graduated three classes which have been placed in Johnson Controls technician jobs throughout the U.S. California, Florida, Virginia, Illinois And Nebraska. This hands-on learning opportunity is a great way to build upon your skills. Lincoln Tech Electrical and Electronic Systems Technology Education (EEST) is provided for participants and prepares them in real-world situations. Johnson Controls covers the cost of housing for the entire six-week period. Johnson Controls also supports new technicians in their relocation costs to move to their new full-time jobs after they have completed the Johnson Controls Academy program.
