Love Island The series will be back tonight, with a twist in its first episode. Early release images have already shown this.

Eagle-eyed viewers can see that the format was redesigned for the second-ever winter series. The women now have the power to choose their partners.

The show’s most recent episodes have shown the women lined up by the pool, while the men entered the villa one after another and chose who they wanted to pair with.

If a contestant wishes to pick a partner in a couple, they can steal them away at show’s start.

Viewers will also be able to see a variety of bombshell contestants drop into the villa throughout the program, who will make things interesting for the couples.

This switch to the women taking control of the show as it was when it launched may be welcomed by viewers who loved the series. huge numbers of complaints to Ofcom over last summer’s series.

The majority of complaints focused on misogynistic behaviour by male contestants. Women’s Aid was also critical of Adam Collard’s decision to return, having been accused of emotionally abusive behavior.

Love Island is back tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
