Mike Myers had a bodyguard fired for making ‘eye contact with him’

An ex-bodyguard claims that he was fired. Mike Myers for making eye contact during 2008’s The Love Guru.

Jay Brody, Canadian radio presenter, claimed that Keanu Reeves helped out the crew at John Wick 4 when he tweeted about it.

Brody tweeted: “People saying that “he shouldn’t be praised for helping” have no idea what it’s like working in film. Mike Myers had me fired off the set of “The Love Guru” because I made eye contact with him, and I was there as his body guard… Give Keanu his roses”

Later, as host of his show Carly & Jay on Sonic Radio Brody explained was offered the job while working as a guard for an agency.

Brody stated that it was easy to accept the offer to work alongside the Austin Powers star. They are like “here’s a catch: you can’t look at his’,” Brody stated, adding that Myers warned him that if he did so, he would lose his job.

“I am sitting on the set. He is not looking like us. I don’t know how he looks yet. Then I see a man with a long, fake beard approaching me.

“And I looked down to avoid looking at him because I didn’t want to be fired. However, I realize that anyone can enter the trailer. I glance up to see if he is looking at me. I then give him a smile to let him know that I am cool. Within an hour, I receive a call telling me that I was fired and that I must leave set.

Yahoo! has reached out to Mike Myers’ representatives for a response.

Myers’ past behavior on the set was criticized by many people, including Amy Hill, who worked alongside the comedian on The Cat in the Hat.

Hill working with Myers was “a horrible, nightmarish experience” telling the AV Club: “He had his handlers dress his trailer, and his area was all covered with tenting because he didn’t want anybody seeing him.”

“I don’t think he got to know anybody. He’d just be with his people and walk away. People would come and then he’d stand there. A guy held his chocolates in a small Tupperware.

“Whenever he needed chocolate, he’d come running over and give him a chocolate. That’s what divas are like, I guess. Or those who require therapy.”

Myers was also difficult to work with in Wayne’s World, according to director Penelope Spheeris saying the Austin Powers star was “Emotionally needy, and the shoot got more difficult.”
