Lady Vols win Knoxville Regional in NCAA Tournament

The competition was delayed by 5 hours, 14 mins due to bad weather.

The Hoosiers led, 1-0, in the first inning after Taryn Kern hit a solo home run.

The Lady Vols scored a total of three runs in their first inning. Kiki Milloy, Mackenzie Donihoo and Tennessee both hit home runs.

Milloy hit her second home run in the second inning, extending Tennessee’s lead to 5-1.

After Rylee hit a grand-slam, the Lady Vols scored 4 runs in the fourth inning with only 2 outs.

Ashley Rogers (17-1) pitched a complete game for Tennessee, allowing two hits, one run and three walks, while recording five strikeouts.

Tennessee will play the Knoxville Regional Championship game on Sunday, 4:35 pm EDT.
