Pete Carroll updates Jordyn Brooks and Tyler Lockett on injury news

However, the New York Jets were defeated by the Seattle Seahawks 23-6 to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Seattle’s young linebacker, Jordyn Brooks, was carted off after a tackle where his knee was injured during a tackle. It didn’t take long after being carted to the locker room before the Seahawks officially ruled out their former first-round draft pick.

Brooks was given an injury update by Pete Carroll, head coach. Carroll admitted he didn’t know the extent of the injury, or the specifics, but mentioned he was undergoing imaging during the press conference.

Brooks wasn’t the only injury of note, as Tyler Lockett also missed time.

“Tyler got banged up on his right lower leg, it just bothered him,” Carroll elaborated. “He tried to get warm, he tried to get loose, and stay in, and got back on the field. At the very end, we held him out.”

As far as Week 18 goes, Carroll says we’ll “have to wait and see” when it comes to Lockett’s availability. Lockett was able to play the entire game despite having his hand surgically repaired.

Guard Phil Haynes sustained a sprained ankle and was the other notable injury.
