Prime Video Lines Up Patrick Mackay True Crime Doc ‘Confessions Of A Psycho Killer’

EXCLUSIVE: Prime Video UK and Ireland were aboard feature documentary Confessions of Psycho Killer

The 90-minute-long feature takes viewers back in time to 1975, when Anthony Crean, a 63-year old vicar, was killed by an axe attack. Patrick Mackay, a young man, confessed the murder and subsequent police interviews revealed disturbing confessions that were later spread to London.

Mackay, now aged 70, has been imprisoned in the UK since 1975 and is considered one of the country’s most deranged and prolific serial killers.

Prime Video acquired the doc via a deal brokered by UK distributor Abacus Media Rights. This feature is from Woodcut Media It will be available for purchase on the streamer starting February 1, in the UK, and Ireland. It will be sold by Abacus elsewhere.

AMR and Woodcut collaborated for a new Prime Video true crime doc, The Murder at MeredithDeadline premiered the November premiere of, as a Deadline production. revealed At the time.

Woodcut’s Nick Mavroidakis produced the doc. Matt Blyth directs the film, and Kate Beal is the executive producer.
