Rich is certified as a NC County Clerk
Mar. 9—LENOIR — Caldwell County Clerk to the Board of Commissioners Abby Rich recently earned her North Carolina County Clerk Certification from the North Carolina Association of County Clerks.
Rich received 120 hours of instruction to earn the credential. This included planning and zoning, finance and local government law. Quasi-judicial hearings were also offered. The clerk’s role within local government was also covered.
Rich, a Caldwell County native, has served as Clerk since 2021. Before joining Caldwell County Government she was a middle-school educator in Caldwell County Schools.
Rich is a South Caldwell graduate. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University. She is currently pursuing a master’s from Appalachian.
Zach has been her husband for six years. McKinleigh and Garrison are their 3-year-old twins.
