Russian-installed authorities claim they have control over Ukraine’s Soledar
(Reuters) – Russian authorities in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk said Tuesday that they had taken control of Soledar. They also repeated their previous claims about the salt-mining city where fierce fighting has occurred.
They stated in Telegram that Russian troops had liberated Soledar from the Donetsk People’s Republic.
Russia claimed on Friday that its forces had taken Soledar under control, but Volodymyr Zelenskiy, the Ukrainian President, later stated that fighting for Soledar as well as other eastern cities and towns was ongoing.
