Sally Nugent While presenting, I had to hold back my tears. BBC Breakfast.
The show’s Tuesday edition will be co-hosted by me and my friend, Ashley. Jon KayAfter a segment on guide dogs, Nugent was visibly emotional.
After a short clip about guide dogs and the shortage in the UK, Nugent was shown holding her face in her hands.
Kay then asks Kay if she is okay. She replies, “No. I don’t believe I can continue. It’s amazing to be able work with dogs like this and then to hand them off for the next stage.
Kay responded, “I’m shocked there’s any shortage. I’d have expected there to be people queuing up around the block. But it’s a tremendous commitment, isn’t it?”

After the departure from Nugent, Nugent assumed the role of permanent presenter on BBC Breakfast in 2021. Louise Minchin. She was a substitute presenter in the past decade and also hosted sports segments.
Nugent stated that he was thrilled to be the new BBC Breakfast presenter and would bring the nation the most important news, entertainment guests, and stories every week. It’s an honor to take over from Louise and participate in the UK’s most-watched morning show.
Kay was the last addition to BBC Breakfast. She joined the show on an ongoing basis last year, after Dan Walker moved to Channel 5.
Kay was a former relief presenter for the event, which took place when the main host was not available.
