Sean Payton is a 2023 NFL Draft buzzer, Cardinals & Colts coach searches

Charles Robinson and Charles McDonald are visiting Phoenix, Arizona. Super Bowl Week as they share the inside scoop on all things NFL including the latest coaching hires, Sean Payton’s comments, and the top 2023 NFL Draft prospects.

The options for the two remaining teams without a head coaching position, the Arizona Cardinals or Indianapolis Colts are getting smaller. Charles Robinson believes that Arizona should be looking for an offensive player to help Kyler Murray get his career on track. He also wonders if Murray will need to have a strong season in 2023 to continue to be considered a franchise quarterback. The Colts head coaching situation is more complicated than expected. They don’t know if they intend to bring back Jeff Saturday (an ex-Colts center).

Other coaching positions were also discussed, including Steve Wilks being the San Francisco 49ers’ defensive coordinator. This job has resulted in two consecutive head coaches hires, Demeco Ryans and Robert Saleh. Brian Flores, a former Miami Dolphins head coach, will be the Vikings’ defensive coordinator. Ejiro Evero, former Denver Broncos chief of staff, travels to Carolina to assist Frank Reich with his defense in 2023.

Sean Payton, new Broncos head coach, was not shy in his comments to the press this week. He stated that QB Russell Wilson’s staff would no longer have access to the facility. Everyone is optimistic about Broncos. Charles McDonald thinks Payton’s no-nonsense coaching style could be what Wilson needs to get on track. Wilson might still have some gas left under the right leadership.

This episode closes with an update on 2023 NFL Draft. The Senior Bowl has just concluded. This class isn’t as strong as some years ago, but there are some prospects you can’t help but be excited about. Everybody is excited about Florida QB Anthony Richardson. Although he has all the tools needed to be an elite NFL player, he will need to take time to study in a patient setting. Other intriguing options include Alabama QB Bryce Young and Texas RB Bijan Robertson.
