Flurry of offers for 2025/2026 help to lay the foundation for the future for sooners

Although the 2024 class is the next on the calendar, the process of recruiting future classes requires years of relationship building. Those relationships take time to build and don’t always develop overnight. It’s imperative to lay the foundation early on, which is why it should come as no surprise that the Sooners sent a  flurry of offers to 2025 and 2026 prospects in recent weeks.

They have not been evaluated by recruiting services enough to give them a ranking. These players have already been offered Power Five deals and are likely to be elite players with significant potential for their senior year.

We’ve taken the liberty to take a brief look at these 2025 and 2026 offers and offer a bit of insight about each.

Eric Winters, ATH

Eric Winters is listed on 247Sports as an athlete. That makes sense as he’s a strong, athletic rising junior. He is a good basketball player and can be used as a safety at the next levels. Ole Miss offers him several scholarships. AuburnAnd Penn State You can accept his offer from Oklahoma.

Brandon Brown, DL

Todd Bates made an offer to Brandon Brown (a 6-foot-2 defensive lineman hailing from Florida), Brown is an interior player who will be a major challenge for the Sooners, as well as other in-state players like Miami. FloridaHe is also being considered by Florida State and UC Berkeley. He’s also received offers from Georgia, USC?, Tennessee.

Alex Graham, DB

Jay Valai, the Sooners staff seem determined offer more cornerbacks and defensive backs than ever before. Alex Graham, who stands 6’1 and is athletic to boot, is 6-foot-1. He is originally from Detroit. Michigan Michigan State Factors. He also holds an offer Ohio State Penn State.

Jordan Burns (LB)

Jordan Burns is a physical presence at LB. He hails from Atlanta, Georgia. He has received offers from Auburn, Tennessee, USC and Oklahoma for his early play. He looks like a LB who can move with a verified 40-time of 4.5.

Sael Reyes (S).

Sael Reyes is now part of the group of defensive backs that the Sooners are reaching out to. Reyes is a safety at DeSoto High School. Reyes has received numerous offers from Texas A&M, ArkansasTo accompany his OU offer.

Cory Lavender (DB)

Cory Lavender is the first 2026 offer amongst this bunch and plays for one of the nation’s best high school football programs, Mater Dei. Lavender’s recruitment is just getting started but he already has offers from multiple Power Five schools. He already stands at 5-foot-10 and looks like a cornerback. He should continue to grow in the coming years. USC, ColoradoGeorgia, and the United States are already on board with him.

Phillip Bell, WR

Phillip Bell is the sole offensive player among this flood of offers, but he is certainly a notable prospect. The 2025 four-star is ranked number. 25 in the nation by 247Sports and has notable offers from USC, Georgia, Oregon, and Texas A&M among the 26 teams pursuing Bell.
