Steelers enter Week 18, with a 21 percent chance of making the playoffs

Three weeks ago, there was a two percent chance that the Pittsburgh Steelers would win. making the playoffs. As the team enters the final week of regular season, they have: 21 percent chance This is all due to the league’s biggest turnaround this season.

Pittsburgh began the season with a 2-6 record. It seemed all was lost. The bye weekend was a great way to get them back on track. Pittsburgh has won three of the last three games in a row and is now 6-2 in the eight previous games.

But it’s more than the fact they did win, it is how they win. Steelers found a two-headed power running game with Jaylen Waring and Najee Hari. This pairing paired up Kenny Pickett, an improved player, and is a recipe for winning ball-control football.

The defense on the other side has improved since T.J. Watt’s return. But it has been the play of guys like inside linebacker Robert Spillane, defensive end DeMarvin Leal and safety Terrell  Edmunds that have elevated this unit against the run.
