TuSimple Adds Independent Directors To Government Security Committee

SAN DIEGO, Jan. 17, 2023 /PRNewswire/ – Today, TuSimple (Nasdaq.TSP), a global autonomous driver technology company, announced that its board is now independent James Lu And Wendy Hayes after being granted a non-objection by the Committee on Foreign Investment in, were appointed to TuSimple’s Government Security Committee The United States (CFIUS). This news means that all three independent members of TuSimple’s board are now on the Government Security Committee. They have been cleared by extensive background checks and have been vetted by the federal government.

The Government Security Committee’s chair is an independent member of the board and Government Security Director. Michael Mosier He has many years of experience in federal government, including time at the U.S. Department of Justice and White House National Security Council, as well as, most recently, at U.S. Department of Treasury, where he was the Acting Director of Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network.

TuSimple signed a National Security Agreement in February 2022 with CFIUS, the U.S. government. It agreed to restrict access to certain data, adopt a technology control program, and create a board-level security committee. CFIUS, an interagency committee, is authorized to examine certain foreign investment transactions to determine their impact on U.S. security.
