U.S. working to recuperate suspected Chinese language spy balloon

(Reuters) – The US is working to recuperate a suspected Chinese language spy balloon that was shot down off the coast of South Carolina, in line with a press release launched by the Pentagon on Sunday.

“Our U.S. Navy element is presently conducting restoration operations, with the U.S. Coast Guard aiding in securing the world and sustaining public security,” Normal Glen VanHerck, commander of the North American Aerospace Protection Command and U.S. Northern Command, stated.

China says the airship was used for meteorological and different scientific functions.
