Ukraine’s Zelenskiy assaults effort to permit Russia again at Olympics
(Reuters) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy mentioned on Sunday that permitting Russia to compete on the 2024 Paris Video games was tantamount to exhibiting that “terror is by some means acceptable”.
“Makes an attempt by the Worldwide Olympic Committee to carry Russian athletes again into the Olympic Video games are makes an attempt to inform the entire world that terror is by some means acceptable,” Zelenskiy mentioned in his nightly video handle.
He mentioned Russia should not be allowed to “use (the Video games) or every other sport occasion as propaganda for its aggression or its state chauvinism”.
