United Airways technicians vote to ratify new contract
Jan 30 (Reuters) – United Airways Holdings Inc technicians ratified a two-year contract with the provider that features 16% to 23% wage will increase, their union stated on Monday.
Worldwide Brotherhood of Teamsters, representing round 8,200 United Airways technicians stated the two-year contract would offer for improved job safety by including 5 heavy upkeep traces in-house.
The settlement, which will probably be in impact till December 2024, comes at a time when airways are developing with enticing pay presents to retain workforce and add workers after a faster-than-expected rebound within the U.S. journey market.
It features a one-year early opener that permits for bargaining on a successor settlement to start in December 2023.
