Vikings K.J. Osborn has appeared in the recent weeks

Throughout the regular season, the Minnesota Vikings’ offense has been funneled through wide receiver Justin Jefferson and rightfully so. Jefferson, one of the NFL’s best receivers, led the league with 1,809 yards this season. There are other weapons on the Vikings’ offense including third-year receiver K.J. Osborn.

Last season, Osborn emerged behind Jefferson and Adam Thielen and cemented himself as the third wide receiver on the Vikings’ depth chart. Although Osborn had a slow start this season accumulating only 262 yards and two touchdowns in the first 13 weeks he’s been taking advantage of his recent opportunities. Osborn has now accumulated 388 yards, three touchdowns and only five games since Week 14 against Detroit Lions. This is more than twice his previous season output.

Osborn will play a key role for the Vikings as they face the New York Giants in their Wild Card matchup. Jefferson will not be stopped by the Giants, but they will give the opportunity to Osborn and Thielen.

The Vikings have made other teams pay in recent weeks for giving Jefferson all of their attention. Osborn and other Giants will make sure they pay if they do that Sunday.
