Roku TVs with OLED may arrive in 2023

Roku TVs can be purchased with HD, 4K, and 8K screens. They are available in either bright MiniLED or LED technology. OLED will be joining the mix starting in 2023. Roku revealed today at CES an OLED TV reference design that will assist its partners in building Roku TVs equipped with OLED screens. Although the company has not yet stated whether any companies have adopted the design, it is easy to imagine TCL doing so, especially after seeing the video. making the first MiniLED Roku TV set.

OLED Roku TVs are sure to have everything we love about the screen tech. Roku isn’t revealing much information about its reference design, as is customary with Roku.

Chris Larson, Roku’s VP of Retail Strategy, said that partners take at least four months to make TVs based upon their reference designs. It would be great to see surprise announcements around the middle of 2023. However, it is likely that we will hear more about these OLED Roku televisions when the holidays roll around. The company will also be building its own Roku TVs for the first time this yearThese are aimed at value-conscious customers. There is still plenty of space in the affordable OLED market, so it will be interesting to see how partners can make Roku set that are comparable with Vizio’s OLEDs.
