Netflix finally confirms Wednesday season 2 after cancelling fears

Netflix Finally, it has been confirmed Wednesday After fears that it might be displaced by Amazon Prime Video, the show will return for season 2.

The Addams Family After its November launch, spin-off series starring Jenna Ortega, the teen-version, of the morbid character has been a huge success.

The show has become Netflix’s second-most-watched series, with more than 1.237billion hours of viewing in its first 28 days.

Other shows that were not on the streaming site to achieve this mark so fast are Stranger Things Season 4, and Squid Game.

This good news comes just after reports that raised fears about Wednesday’s deal to be on Netflix being cancelled. MGM, who owns intellectual property rights to Addams Family, is being sold.

The success of the service led to some speculation that rival services such as Prime Video might take over. This was thankfully proven false.

Wednesday’s update of the Addams Family story is now available. The focus will shift to the Addams family’s daughter, who is sent to Nevermore Academy (a school for supernatural children) on Wednesday.

Wednesday finds herself in a mixture of teen-drama, crime-thriller, and soon is caught up in a mystery when a monster terrorizes the school and the nearby town Jericho. The area is rich in Pilgrim-related history.

Christina Ricci, who is best known for her child Wednesday, was cast as the school’s nurse. Catherine Zeta Jones played Wednesday’s mother Morticia. Gwendoline Christie, Game Of Thrones’ headmistress, was Principal Weems.

Wednesday is now available on Netflix.
