Mercury is in retrograde this week. The Sun moves into Aquarius and the Moon enters a new phase. We are invited again to plan, dream, and move ahead.

Mercury direct in Capricorn

As we crossed the threshold to the new year, Mercury was in retrograde Capricorn sign. This is the sign of Capricorn. retrograde comes to an end On January 19, 2023 we will be able work in a different manner with the offers, the invitations, and support of Mercury, Capricorn.

Mercury is the ruler of our mental world in astrology. Mercury controls how information is taken in, processed, and shared. It is an archetype that represents logic, learning, technology, communication, planning, and information.

Capricorn represents the earth sign. It is an earth sign and engages in discipline, persistence, structure, and organization. It is able to work within and make the most of our Earthly limitations and laws of matter. Capricorn’s medicine consists of determination and resilience. These qualities help us find who we want and how to make a difference in the world.

Mercury retrograded through Capricorn while we were asked to take our time, assess, and challenge our path. This was a time to reflect on our hopes and dreams for our lives, as well as on our relationship with structure and organization, planning, boundaries, and other constraints.

This week’s reversal of the earth’s apparent downward spiral has brought new perspectives to the surface. Perspectives that align with our past and future selves. Mercury will remain in Capricorn through next month. This will allow us to tap into the strength of this zodiac sign and start to rebuild our lives.

Aquarius season begins

The Sun is known as the “giver of life” in astrology. It represents our self, the immortal soul, our life force and how we interact the world around. The Sun travels through the sky. the twelve zodiac signsIt is the beginning and ending of our astrological years.

The end of Capricorn’s season is marked by the beginning of Aquarius season, January 20, 2023. The Sun emerges from Capricorn’s rational, grounded, and serious nature and takes on the form of Aquarius. It ignites and colors our sense of self and inner desires and shapes our outlook on life.

Aquarius is a mentally driven individual, an intellectual thinker who seeks evolution. It is forward-oriented, independent, innovative, and a visionary. This is a time of freedom, progress, freedom and authenticity. These are the forces that will shape our beliefs and desires. The Aquarius season encourages us to think outside the box and to go beyond what is known.

Aquarius: New Moon

January 21st, 2023 brings the Sun to Aquarius and the Moon to Aquarius. New Moons have the potential to bring about new beginnings, imagining and visioning. They are the moment of emptiness, in which all possibilities exist.

This celestial event in Aquarius invites us to plant hope that is grounded in truth and authenticity. It’s here to help us see the bigger picture and to identify what we want to do.

The old and the new are simultaneously being broken apart as we sit close to Pluto in the sky. This new Moon invites us to look inside the box that keeps us bound. We can open the door, walk through and see what’s beyond.

We entered the new year slowly. There were major retrogrades, and there was an emotional component. Cancer full Moon.

Things start to move again as Mercury’s backwards spin is over and we enter Aquarius, an Air sign. The feeling of stagnancy is beginning to ease, the time seems to be moving faster, and our attention shifts from our past toward our future.

The first new Moon in 2023 continues this spark, inviting us to see the months ahead with inspiration and liberation. It invites us to be present with the Moon’s newness, to whisper our wishes into the ethers and to decide our future path.

Mercury will always be in Capricorn, which is a grounded and practical sign. But we can bring innovative and practical planning to our visions.

With Aquarius as our guide, we can visualize the year ahead and not be restricted by the limitations of the known. We can then turn our intentions into plans and build as Capricorn wishes.
