Wisconsin HC Luke Fickell’s interview with Rivals about Wisconsin’s 2023 recruiting class

After an outstanding performance to start his first early signing period as Wisconsin head coach, Luke Fickell spoke with Rivals’ Clint Cosgrove about the Badgers’ additions to their 2023 recruiting class on Wednesday.

Fickell discussed the importance of building strong relationships with current players as well as recruits. He also spoke about his respect for Wisconsin’s culture. These relationships were essential for the Badgers to keep many of their commitments and add more.

Fickell surprised many in the county when he signed two major signees in cornerback Amare Snowden and wide receiver Trech Kakahuna. They are both rated as four star prospects. Rivals. Kekahuna initially committed to Wisconsin but he de-committed soon after HC Paul Chryst was dismissed. After Kekahuna committed to Arizona last Wednesday, the Badgers were able, fortunately to flip him back.

It should be exciting to see what Luke Fickell will continue to do in his first recruiting cycle as the Badgers’ head coach.
