Five Oklahoma Sooners are named to AP NFL All-Pro Teams

The Associated Press revealed its All-Pro team for the 2022 season, with playoff football in full swing. Five Oklahoma Sooners earned first and second team honors this season. Trent Williams, Lane Johnson, CeeDee lamb, Jalenhurts and Creed Humphrey were the first-team selections.

Oklahoma’s reputation for developing some of the game’s best offensive linemen continues to grow with three of the 10 offensive line selections coming from the University of Oklahoma. Humphrey was selected as the center of the second team. This was his first ever selection. Humphrey’s work as the brains and brawn protecting arguably the best QB in the league in the Kansas City Chiefs,  Patrick Mahomes, has not gone unnoticed.

Williams was selected for the first team twice consecutively. He has had three All-Pro selections during his career. Johnson received his second first-team selection.

Williams will be in action on Saturday when the San Francisco 49ers host Seattle Seahawks in Wild Card round.

Johnson continues his rehabilitation to try to play for Philadelphia next Wednesday. The Eagles are on a bye this week after locking up the NFC’s No. In the playoffs, they will be seeded No. 1.

Jalen Hurts was MVP-type for the Eagles, leading them to the No. With his 3,701 passing yard and 22 passing touchdowns, he was the NFC’s No. 1 seed. In his debut season, he completed 66.5%. He had 760 rush yards and 13 rushing touchdowns on the ground.

CeeDee Lamb, a Dallas Cowboys’ star receiver, joins Hurts and Humphrey as the second team. Lamb just finished his best NFL season. He has established himself as a star and is capable of leading the Dallas wide receivers group.

He was able to catch 107 passes for 1,359 yards with nine touchdowns. On average, he caught 12.7 yards per reception. He came up four receptions shy of tying the Cowboys’ record for most catches in a season. He’ll need another monster performance on Monday night with the Cowboys traveling to Tampa Bay to take on Tom Brady and the Buccaneers.

Oklahoma’s well-represented among the elite players in the NFL and will be well-represented this weekend on the playoff stage.
