The exhibition explores the 75-year-old history of Dior. The exhibition begins with the iconic New Look, and then we get a glimpse into Dior’s love of art. The show celebrates Tokyo’s new location. It features letters, sketches, and other material from Japan.

The exhibition, which features 350 Haute Couture clothes, pays homage to Japan in both the displayed pieces and the rooms that are designed by Shohei Schigematsu. “Our collaboration with Dior across multiple cities and venues has been an exciting opportunity to continuously rethink and recontextualize the retrospective in response to its specific, local setting, much like Christian Dior’s own global expedition and influence,” Shigematsu shared in a press release. You can explore a range of themes throughout the exhibition. The Coloroma is a bright, chromatic space where you will find Dior’s accessories, from cosmetics and hats. Grace Kelly, Natalie Portman, among others, have handbags on display.

The exhibition offers a look at key pieces in the history of Dior, ranging from Christian Dior’s creations to those of his successors, including Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, Raf Simons and Maria Grazia Chiuri.
