Milf Manor A bombshell was dropped that no one knew about!
TLC’s new reality dating program, MILFs, featured eight women searching for love.
The moms are Pola, a 47-year old Mexican fitness studio owner who is currently living in Miami; Kelle (a spontaneous 51 year-old “disco mommy”) from Orange County; Charlene (a 44-yearold Jersey girl who has relocated to Los Angeles); April Jayne (a 59-yearold fitness instructor and singer from L.A.); and Shannan (a 50-year old event planner who was a B-Girl in the past).

In an exclusive interview with Kelle and her son Joey, the mother-son duo open up to PEOPLE about what the experience was like for them — and if there were any uncomfortable encounters.
PEOPLE – What was it like to film together on a dating program?
KELLEIt was great! Joey allowed us to ask each others for advice, and he gave me insights into the people he loved and those he felt were just players. We shared our stories about our dates, and the experiences that we had. This helped us to become closer. It was a great bonding experience for a mother and her adult son living together in the same home, the same room, unplugged from all of society. We will be forever connected by our late-night conversations of laughter and fun. Each moment that we shared was treasured and will be remembered fondly. It was a realization that Joey isn’t just a little boy to me anymore. He’s an incredible man.
JOEY: It was definitely an unforgettable experience that I’ll cherish for the rest of our lives.

PEOPLE: Did you have any unpleasant moments or encounters?
KELLE: It’s not for me. I am very open with my children and we have an incredible, dynamic family of love and support. My tribe is full of positive vibes!
JOEY: I know what my mom is like so I wasn’t surprised by anything she did. But it was funny seeing everyone else having to learn what my mom is like and get used to it. They learned very quickly.
PEOPLE: Joey! What was it like for your mom to date men your own age?
JOEYIt was funny, I thought. It’s already difficult enough trying to maintain the same energy level as my mother. So seeing the youngins trying to start up a conversation while holding back the nerves, that’s entertainment on its own. Because she will not hesitate to tell you.
PEOPLE: Does age really matter when it comes down to choosing a partner for your child?
KELLE: Absolutely not. You can’t put an era on your spirit; only your body can. Only he knows what feeds him soul.
PEOPLE – Joey, are you at this moment in your life looking for a fling, or true love?
JOEY: I was looking to expand my romantic circle and meet someone who is also trying to find love. I’m looking for someone who’s transparent with me and has nothing to hide. There’s nothing I dislike more than someone who isn’t honest.
PEOPLE – Kelle, what do you look for in a partner
KELLE: I am seeking a connection with someone who is honest about their beliefs and values. Someone who is honest with themselves, has gratitude and humility.
